Remote Internships

Enabling international experience without the need to travel

Remote internships offer global experience without the need for travel..

Through WIN’s supported model, students can contribute to overseas companies while working from home, gaining professional insight and meeting academic requirements at the same time.

Remote internships follow the same structure and academic expectations as in-person placements. They are particularly well suited to students who may face travel limitations due to financial, logistical, or personal reasons.

Programme Structure

Duration

12 to 16 weeks, depending on university requirements

Work Hours

500 or 600 hours of supervised work experience

Schedule

4.5 days per week with host company, 0.5 day for training

Interns engage in meaningful tasks and contribute to projects provided by their assigned host company for approximately four and a half days per week. The remaining half day is set aside for structured training modules that develop key workplace skills.

All placements are coordinated by regional placement partners to ensure that delivery meets academic standards and maintains consistency across countries.

Delivery Framework

All remote internships supported by WIN follow a common structure. Each placement begins with role matching and onboarding support to ensure the student and host company are well aligned. Interns are then given access to a core professional training programme designed to build workplace skills alongside their day-to-day tasks.

Throughout the placement, the in-country partner provides guidance and support to both the student and the host company. At the end of the internship, each participant receives completion documentation, including a reference from the host company and certificates for the training modules completed.

Remote internships offer a flexible and credible way for students to gain international experience while enabling higher education institutions and host companies to deliver placements that meet shared expectations.
